Opossum

Opossum typically enter homes seeking food or warmth. They may take up residence in attics, crawl spaces, or under porches. While they are generally not aggressive, they can hiss or show defensive behavior if threatened. Opossum may damage insulation, create nests, and leave droppings. They can also carry fleas and ticks.

Raccoon

Raccoon can cause problems in a number of ways including property damage and aggression. They can also carry diseases like rabies and roundworm. 

• Rabies can be transmitted to humans and other animals through saliva contact with the eyes, nose, mouth or a break in the skin, such as a bite from an infected raccoon.
• Roundworm can be passed to humans through the ingestion of raccoon feces. 

Squirrel

Squirrels find their way into your home, they typically target attics and wall voids. They can chew through wood, insulation, and electrical wiring, leading to potential fire hazards. They may also create nests, store food, and leave droppings behind. Their activity can be noisy, especially during the morning and evening hours when they are most active.

Mice

Mice invade your home, you should expect them to build nests in hidden spaces such as wall voids, cabinets, and basements. They reproduce rapidly and a small infestation can quickly grow into a larger one. Mice can cause damage by gnawing on wires, furniture, and stored items. They contaminate food with their droppings and urine, posing a health risk. Their droppings can also cause Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome that consists of respiratory symptoms.

Rats

Rats can cause many problems, including the spread of disease and property damage. Two of a few diseases are:

• Hantavirus  Is a viral disease that can be deadly. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, and aches. It can be spread by contact with rat droppings, urine, or saliva. 
• Leptospirosis  Is a disease caused by bacteria in the urine of infected animals. It can be spread by contact with contaminated water, soil, or food. 

Muskrat

Muskrats can cause problems by damaging ponds and other water structures and by damaging crops and gardens. They can also carry Tularemia, a disease that effects humans. A bacterial disease that can be transmitted through contaminated water, infected meat, or an open cut.

Groundhog

Groundhog problems primarily stem from their extensive burrowing behavior, which can damage gardens, lawns, foundations of homes and even injure livestock by creating large holes in the ground. They also frequently eat crops, gnaw on tree bark and can potentially spread diseases like rabies.

Skunk

Skunk may find their way into homes and seek shelter in crawl spaces, sheds, or under decks. When a skunk feels threatened, it may spray a strong-smelling liquid as a defense mechanism. Their presence can be a nuisance due to the odor they emit and they may dig burrows in yards. It’s important to handle skunk infestations carefully to avoid getting sprayed and are also know to carry rabies.

Fox

Foxes can be a nuisance in urban areas, where they can dig, defecate, and raid bins. They can also carry diseases that can be transmitted to humans and their pets, such as rabies.

Coyote 

Coyote can be a threat to pets and people. They may attack and kill small pets unattended, mistaken as prey, like cats, or large dogs they see as a threat. 

European starling & Black birds 

Birds cause millions of dollars in damage to homes across the U.S. each year. We are here to assist with removal and mitigation.

Bats

Bats invade homes, they typically roost in attics, chimneys, or wall voids. They are nocturnal creatures and may create noise and fluttering sounds during their active hours. Bats can leave droppings called guano, which can accumulate and create a strong odor as well as Histoplasmosis. They can also transmit diseases such as rabies, so professional removal is highly recommended.

Snakes

Snake problems in residential areas usually arise when they find easy access into homes. Gaps in foundations often lead to sightings inside homes, garages, or crawl spaces, causing concern for residents due to the potential for bites and discomfort.

TRAPPING & REMOVAL: 

Once we understand what animal species we are dealing with and the problem, we then formulate a solution with a few options. We then use the most effective means of removing the animals using different types of traps.

• Trapping - Live cage traps and trap sets are crucial to a successful removal.

• Exclusion - Oftentimes we are able to simply set one-way doors or other exclusion devices that allow the animals inside a building to safely exit and not get back inside.
